The Nuggets returned to great basketball after an off game three nights ago and are once again 8-2 in the last 10. They beat Minnesota on the road 106-92. The game was essentially a rout, with the T-Wolves making up some of the 22 point deficit after three quarters during garbage time in the fourth quarter.
Veteran point guard Andre Miller returned to solid play after an off game against Memphis and was 8/14 from the field including 1/1 from three point land and he also had 9 assists. Najera played much better than in most other games thus far this season and had 11 rebounds, 8 of them offensive and 14 points on 6/11 shooting. But Reggie Evans had 16 rebounds, 8 each. The T-Wolves were smothered on the boards.
Last, but, of course, not least, Melo had 35 points on 14/24 from the field; 2/3 from 3-point land; 3 rebounds and 4 assists. Right now Iverson is averaging 31.7 and Melo 31.5; the race is on.
All and all, Nuggets fans can be happy tonight because they won a road game easily that they were supposed to win. The Nuggets are tied with the Kings for 6th place in the Conference.
The next game is tomorrow night, Saturday, Dec 2, back in Denver at 7 pm mountain time against the Indiana Pacers. Both teams will be playing back to back nights.
